Technical Developer - Vancouver  

 

Location: Vancouver, BC (On-Site)

Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Experience: 2–7 years

Compensation: $50,000–$70,000, depending on experience

Join our team as we continue to create thoughtful, beautifully made garments. We’re looking for a Technical Developer who brings a sharp eye for detail, a love of construction, and a collaborative mindset. If you thrive in a fast-moving environment and enjoy turning design intent into wearable, well-fitting products, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full development life cycle - from early sketches to final samples

  • Manage and track samples with accuracy and urgency

  • Build and maintain organized, up-to-date Bills of Materials

  • Create and update tech packs that clearly communicate design and fit intent

  • Assist in live fittings; capture notes, measure garments, and support pattern updates

  • Develop and maintain garment specs, ensuring clarity and consistency

  • Communicate with overseas and local partners to move development forward

  • Collaborate closely with Design, Production, and Planning teams

  • Help maintain consistency in construction, fit, and quality across the line

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field
• 2–7 years of experience in Technical Design or Product Development
• Experience with Gerber or a related CAD system
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
• Solid foundation in garment construction, sewing, and pattern terminology
• Experience creating and fitting tailored, draped, bias-cut, and corseted garments
• Strong understanding of fabric types, including knits and wovens
• Pattern drafting and basic draping skills
• Clear, concise, and professional communication skills
• Basic Excel competency
• A self-starting, solutions-oriented attitude
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment

Bonus Skills (not required but an asset)

  • Experience with CLO3D

  • Ability to speak or read Mandarin or Cantonese

  • Familiarity with PLM systems
