You have a strong technical foundation and enjoy collaborating with Design, Production, and factory partners to transform concepts into beautifully fitting, production-ready garments.

Extensive experience with Gerber AccuMark pattern software is a requirement for this role.

  • Create, modify, and maintain digital patterns using Gerber AccuMark.

  • Develop accurate grade rules and perform garment grading to ensure fit consistency across all sizes.

  • Create and maintain detailed technical packages, specifications, Bills of Materials, and construction documentation.

  • Evaluate samples throughout development, identify construction and fit issues, and recommend technical solutions.

  • Lead and participate in garment fittings, taking detailed fit notes and translating revisions into production-ready patterns and specifications.

  • Execute pattern corrections, construction updates, and grading revisions following fittings.

  • Collaborate closely with Design and Production to maintain design intent while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and cost efficiency.

  • Communicate daily with local and overseas factories regarding fit comments, construction details, technical questions, and sample development.

  • Ensure consistency in garment measurements, workmanship, grading, and overall product quality.

  • Troubleshoot construction challenges and propose innovative, practical solutions throughout development.

  • Maintain organized development records and ensure all technical documentation is accurate and current.

  • Work cross-functionally with Design, Production, Planning, and Merchandising to achieve development timelines.

  • Support continuous improvement of technical development processes and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Technical Design, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.

  • 3–7+ years of apparel technical development, technical design, or pattern making experience.

  • Advanced proficiency in Gerber AccuMark Pattern Design and Gerber Grading (required).

  • Strong pattern making, pattern manipulation, and garment construction knowledge.

  • Experience developing and grading patterns for production.

  • Strong garment fitting experience with the ability to assess fit issues and implement pattern corrections.

  • Excellent knowledge of garment construction methods, sewing techniques, and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience creating garments with tailored, draped, bias-cut, and structured construction.

  • Strong understanding of woven and knit fabrics and how fabric properties influence fit and construction.

  • Excellent draping and pattern drafting skills.

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator.

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple development calendars simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.

  • Positive attitude, strong sense of urgency, and willingness to take initiative.

  • Previous experience working within the apparel industry is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing dresses, occasion wear, bridal, or eveningwear.

  • Experience working directly with overseas manufacturing partners throughout product development.

  • Experience collaborating with local manufacturers and sample rooms.

  • Experience with CLO3D.

  • Experience using PLM systems.

  • Knowledge of fit across a broad size range.
